Emma Stinson is an Associate Attorney at Hankin Palladino Weintrob Bell & Labov, where she focuses her practice on litigation and construction law.
Emma graduated magna cum laude from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in both Political Science and Environmental Studies. She then attended The George Washington University Law School, where she was a member of the GW International Law Review, the GW Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, the GW Moot Court Board, and the GW Mock Trial Board. A Karen Hastie Williams Fellow with the D.C. Bar, Emma participated in the GW Pardon Pro-Bono project.
While attending law school, Emma served as a Law Clerk for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District. In this position, she conducted research, drafted memoranda, and provided insight on litigation and adjudication strategy. She also served as a Legal Extern for the Environmental and Natural Resources Division of the Department of Justice, where she conducted legal research and drafted pleadings, documents, and memoranda of law dealing with federal environmental issues in the Natural Resources Section. Emma’s experience also includes serving as an Honors Intern at the Airports and Environmental Law Division of the Federal Aviation Administration. In this position, she reviewed environmental assessments and environmental impact statements for proposed actions and reviewed information for the promulgation of rulemaking in airport law matters and decisions in compliance enforcement matters and administrative proceedings.
Emma gained experience in the private sector as a Litigation Paralegal for a full-service business law firm, where she coordinated the collection, review and production of documents in civil cases, communicated with the court for scheduling matters and sharing information, negotiated and drafted settlement agreements, and assembled and filed pleadings.
